Learning to draw begins with seeing objects in a way you haven’t thought of before. Expressing an idea through line, shape, value, texture & space are essential key concepts that will be taught in this course. These concepts (the foundations of art and design) will equip you to understand how to see the world around you in a different way! We will explore various types of tools for drawing, like compressed charcoal, vine charcoal, conté crayon and graphite pencils.

Each class is dedicated to a particular process. As the class continues to progress throughout the 6 weeks, the projects will build on your new learned skill sets. You are are encouraged to practice at home using optional drawing exercises provided by the instructor to do at your leisure.
